SMS Messaging Terms
Last updated: July 19, 2026
ODA Mission provides appointment-coordination software for small service businesses (for example, HVAC and carpet-cleaning companies). When a business uses ODA Mission, it can send appointment-related text messages to its own customers. These terms describe that SMS program.
1. The messages we send
On behalf of the service business, ODA Mission sends transactional, appointment-related SMS to a customer who has booked an appointment, such as:
- Appointment confirmations — confirming a booked appointment time.
- Reminders — a reminder the day before the appointment.
- Post-service follow-ups — a thank-you and check-in after the work is done.
- Review requests — an optional invitation to leave a review.
These are service/transactional messages tied to a specific appointment. ODA Mission does not send marketing or promotional campaigns through this program.
2. How customers opt in
A customer opts in verbally at the time they book a service appointment — over the phone or in person. The business asks for the customer's mobile phone number and reads this consent script before enrolling them:
"Would you like text updates about this appointment — a confirmation, a reminder the day before, and a follow-up? Up to 4 messages per appointment; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to opt out or HELP for help. Full terms are at odamission.app/messaging-policy.html."
Only customers who answer yes are enrolled. Consent is collected at the point of booking, and only customers who have provided their number and agreed in this way receive messages. A customer can also opt in — or opt back in after opting out — by texting START to the number the messages come from; doing so triggers a confirmation reply from ODA Mission that includes "message and data rates may apply" and STOP/HELP instructions.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies by appointment. A typical appointment results in approximately one to four messages (a confirmation, a reminder, a follow-up, and at most one review request). ODA Mission applies a per-business weekly frequency cap to prevent over-messaging.
4. Opt out and help
Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts immediately. Opt-out is handled automatically and honored at once. To opt back in, reply START.
Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@odamission.app. Message and data rates may apply. Carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. How we handle mobile information
No mobile information is sold. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and message content are used only to deliver the appointment-related messages described above, on behalf of the service business the customer booked with. Information is shared with messaging infrastructure providers (such as our telecommunications carrier) solely to deliver these messages. For more detail on how information is accessed, used, and stored, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS Messaging Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address.
